2009年3月5日, 下午2時27分, 很意外地接到學生傳給我的簡訊, 特別的是...她目前也是一位癌症病人. 簡訊如下
Hello, Ms Voon, how r u? I'm fine but 我的療程吃藥有點不同,吃一個月停兩個星期再吃藥時后它會出紅點,很疼的手和腳底. 哪時我比較辛苦走, 身體會黃,臉色不好看, 然後停兩個星期又到回紅色皮膚,手腳脫皮. 沒辦法, 我醫生要我這樣就這樣. 說真的我很想再學英語, 你有上門的嗎?

這是我的成人學生, 已婚, 育有一子, 她今年還不到30歲....

Hi Fanny, glad to know that you are fine. Sorry for the late reply because I am so busy. The school looked for me again and requested me to help, so now I return to Papar to assist them again, I stay in Papar and only return to KK on Wednesday and Saturday. Yes, I am still teaching some adults students in KK! sorry I reaaly do not have extra time to go to student's house to teach, but please take care, hope to see you healthy and fine. Let's keep in touch, may God bless you and your family.
後記: 她一直以來樂學的精神另我感動, 現在癌細胞又再度潛伏在她的身體, 可是她依然堅強, 這種精神是值得我們讚賞和學習的. 很無奈... 我沒有多一個身體去上門給她續課. 無論如何,我希望她安康, 快樂.
